The Harken 1949 Big Boat Stand-Up Toggle is engineered for demanding big-boat traveler applications, providing reliable upright positioning of mainsheet blocks on traveler cars. Featuring a single-ear design with a 1-control-tang configuration, this toggle is suited for use on cars with two toggles or on coupled cars, and fits Big Boat Traveler Cars in the 3163, 3165, and T32 Series.
The elastomer stand-up device ensures blocks remain correctly oriented under load, while compatibility with multiple mainsheet block families — including Element, Midrange, and Black Magic — makes this toggle highly versatile. The 1949 toggles feature increased spacing to accommodate Element block swivel posts; note that Element blocks manufactured before 2019 are not compatible. The integrated control tang accepts a 6 mm (1/4") pin for attaching control blocks across a wide range of 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, and 6:1 configurations.
Rated to a maximum working load of 3,401 kg (7,500 lb), this toggle delivers the strength and durability required in high-performance racing and offshore sailing environments.
