The Imtra SPA-I2H15A is a pre-made rope/chain combination anchor rode consisting of 150 feet of 1/2-inch white 3-strand nylon anchor line spliced to 15 feet of 5/16-inch High-Test (Grade 43) chain. The nylon line provides the necessary elasticity to absorb shock loads and reduce snubbing in choppy anchorages, while the chain at the anchor end adds weight to improve catenary and resist abrasion on rocky seabeds.
The rope-to-chain splice is professionally finished for maximum strength and reliability. This combination rode is well-suited for boats in the 25–40-foot range using a 5/16-inch HT chain windlass gypsy.
