R&D MARINE Flexible Engine Mountings
The R&D Engine Mounts are specifically designed for the rigors of marine, industrial, commercial and heavy equipment applications. R&D offers a comprehensive range of fail-safe, competitively priced engine mountings to fit all major marine installations, with capacity ranges from 30 to 2,000 pounds per mount. The mounts are available in rectangular shear, circular shear, compression, and double acting mounting types.
R&D Engine Mounts are pre-loaded to provide a dampening effect both up and down. The shear-loaded design absorbs forward and reverse thrust while remaining soft enough to isolate engine vibrations from the mounted surface. To facilitate ease of installation, the mounts feature adjustable height nuts and slotted holes in the base for alignment assistance. All steel parts are zinc plated and passivated to limit corrosion. The stud threads are rolled through a cold-forming process that strengthens the thread in three ways: tension, shear, and fatigue resistance. The rubber component is covered by an oil shield to protect against petroleum-based products.
