When shaft clearances are too tight for a standard streamline collar anode, the Sea Shield Marine Limited Clearance Collar Shaft Anode (LC-1250-ALU) is the solution. Engineered specifically for 1-1/4" propeller shafts, this aluminum anode is precision die-cast for exact internal sizing, maximizing metal-to-shaft contact and ensuring maximum cathodic protection where it counts most.
Conforming to military specification MIL-A-24779, the aluminum alloy provides superior performance in salt and brackish water environments while lasting longer than equivalent zinc anodes and using a less-toxic activator. Captive Allen Head fasteners prevent slippage during underwater installation, threaded holes tapped directly into the anode body eliminate cross-threading and galling, and lock washers keep the anode securely in position under vibration. Size markings visible inside and outside the collar make it easy to confirm the correct fit before installation.
Two deep-slotted stainless steel machine screws provide the torque needed for a vibration-resistant mount. Made in California, USA. The LC-1250-ALU is the preferred choice when the distance between the keel or strut and the propeller is too short to accommodate a standard streamline anode.
