The Sea Shield Marine SL-0875-ALU-W/A Streamline Collar Shaft Anode is the preferred cathodic protection solution for 7/8" propeller shafts in salt or brackish water. The streamline—or football-shaped—collar profile is engineered to minimize hydrodynamic drag and turbulence, making it the anode of choice for performance-conscious sailors and powerboaters who want protection without compromising speed or fuel efficiency.
Manufactured in California, USA from MIL-A-24779 compliant aluminum alloy, this anode provides superior longevity compared to zinc and uses an environmentally friendlier activator. Precision internal sizing guarantees maximum shaft contact for consistent, even cathodic protection. The captive Allen Head fastener system allows fast, confident underwater installation—threads are tapped directly into the anode body to eliminate cross-threading, and lock washers prevent loosening from vibration.
This W/A variant includes the Allen wrench, providing a complete ready-to-install package. Easy size verification markings are visible on both the inside and outside of the collar. Replace when approximately half of the anode material has been consumed to ensure continuous shaft protection.
