The Seaview RW47 4° Direct Mount Wedge Base Plate is designed to be used directly between the base of the radar and the mounting surface when extra height is not required. Use it when attaching your open array radar directly to your vessel's cabin top or radar arch, without using a forward, vertical, or aft leaning radar mount. When positioned between the radar and the mounting surface, this wedge angles your radar 4 degrees below the horizontal to compensate for the deck angle or the planing attitude of your boat, enhancing radar performance by reducing ground clutter and improving target detection at longer ranges.

The RW47 features Seaview's innovative modular electronic mount design with a unique universal plate construction that provides a cleaner look and greater installation flexibility. Each plate starts with a pre-drilled anodized aluminum plate, then it is encased in UV-stable white ABS plastic — only the plastic is visible from outside, providing strength without the unwanted appearance of exposed hardware. Dimple holes on the top surface of the plate align with a provided drill template, allowing you to precisely drill the appropriate holes for your specific radar. The result is a clean, professional-looking installation with no unnecessary holes in the plate surface.

The wedge is constructed of marine-grade King StarBoard polymer for long-lasting durability in harsh saltwater environments. A center hole provides optional cable pass-through routing, and installation requires no special modifications. A drill template is included for easy, precise drilling, and the unit ships pre-drilled to fit Simrad HALO open array radars.
