Fendertex® is the only manufacturer of inflatable textile fenders for the yachting market. The C73 cylindrical fender is the most common fender shape in the Fendertex standard line, which also includes spherical and tandem fenders. Built with stainless steel D-rings located at the top and a suspension strap at the bottom, this fender can be positioned either vertically or horizontally. The outer shell is constructed from a one-piece knitted, patented high-tech polyester textile, giving it exceptional abrasion resistance, high compression strength, and salt resistance that avoids micro-scratches on the hull and paint. The textile is dyed in mass for outstanding UV resistance and color stability. Inside, a highly elastic, ultrasonically welded polyurethane bladder delivers 500% elasticity and automatically adapts to temperature swings, maintaining consistent pressure. Water can also be added to the bladder to act as ballast.

At just 1.9 lbs, the C73 is up to 95% lighter than comparable PVC fenders and up to 40% lighter than other inflatables. When deflated, it rolls up compactly, saving up to 50% more space compared to other inflatables. The fender is easy to clean with water or in a standard washing machine, and the polyurethane inner bladder is independent of the textile cover so it can be replaced in the event of a puncture. The C73 model is recommended for boats 30–43 feet (9–17 meters), with a standard thread compression strength of 6,613 lbs (3,000 kg) and a reinforced thread option rated at 13,226 lbs (6,000 kg). Four fenders per side are recommended for this size range.

Customization options include fender covers, sheathed D-rings, braidlines, flatlines, ropes, pumps, and custom embroidery. The fender is manufactured in France and available in multiple standard colors.
