The Fendertex T73 Tandem Fender is a specialty dual-tube inflatable fender engineered for boaters who need dependable hull protection across a wider surface area. Its unique tandem design prevents the fender from rolling on itself, making it ideal for a range of docking situations including attaching a tender to a main yacht, med-tie or stern-tying to a dock when a swim platform is present, and protecting the widest beam points of sailboats, among many other applications.

Each fender is constructed with a high-tech polyester textile outer shell and a welded polyurethane inner bladder — a construction fundamentally different from conventional rubber or plastic fenders, which tend to be heavy, bulky, and difficult to stow. The Fendertex design compresses and rolls up when deflated, making storage easy even in confined spaces. The lighter weight also makes handling simpler for children and smaller crew members, particularly in larger fender sizes.

The textile outer shell features a patented salt-resistant knitting that minimizes abrasion on hull surfaces and paint. Because the yarn is mass-dyed rather than surface-coated, the fender maintains excellent resistance to UV degradation and color fading over time. The inner polyurethane bladder is independent of the textile shell, meaning it can be replaced separately in the event of a puncture. Water can be added to the interior to act as ballast, increasing stability during use. Cleaning is straightforward — rinse with fresh water or machine wash at low temperature.
