The Fendertex T84 Tandem Fender uses a dual tube design that prevents it from rolling on itself while protecting a larger surface area than conventional fenders. Recommended for vessels 43–52 feet (13–16 meters) in length, this specialty fender excels in demanding docking situations including attaching tenders to the main yacht, "med tie" or stern tying to a dock when a swim platform is present, and protecting the widest points of sailboats.

Each fender is built with a patented high-tech polyester textile outer shell and an ultrasonically welded polyurethane inner bladder. Unlike traditional rubber or plastic fenders, this construction is ultralightweight and easy for all crew members to handle. When deflated, the fender rolls up compactly for easy stowage in tight spaces. The highly elastic inner bladder can also accept water as ballast when additional weight is desired.

The polyurethane inner bladder is independent of the textile shell, meaning it can be replaced in the event of a puncture without replacing the entire fender. The outer shell resists salt absorption, preventing micro-scratches on hull paint, and can be cleaned with water or washed in a standard washing machine.

All Fendertex textiles are dyed in mass, providing exceptional resistance to UV degradation and color fading over time. The patented salt-resistant material and knitting technique was originally engineered for the megayacht market to limit abrasion on hull surfaces and finishes.
