Lewmar Atlantic Portlight - Size 32 (Nominal 7" x 15" Cut-Out with Spigot for 5/16 - 9/16" Hull)

The Lewmar Atlantic Portlight combines clean, contemporary styling with superior structural performance. Its aluminum outer frame is heavier than Lewmar's Standard Portlight and features just one welded joint for exceptional strength. The 5/16" thick smoke gray acrylic lens is bonded directly to its own aluminum subframe, providing additional rigidity and a clear, unobstructed view. The interior presents a clean, attractive appearance with an anodized aluminum frame and lens trim. The watertight seal withstands up to 5 psi of water pressure, keeping the cabin dry even in challenging sea conditions.

The portlight's external frame is engineered to drain water efficiently even when mounted on angled deckhouses or coachroofs, preventing ingress when the portlight is opened. Friction hinges allow the portlight to be positioned at any open angle without requiring knobs, stays, or straps — it simply stays where you leave it. Quick-action metal handles apply uniform, correct pressure onto the seal in the closed position and cannot vibrate open accidentally.

Size 32 has a larger corner radius than other sizes and features semi-circular, rounded ends with no straight section — note that photos may depict other sizes. Portlight opening angle may be slightly restricted on very thick hulls; at 24 mm hull thickness, the maximum opening angle is 115°. The thin hull spigot version accommodates hull thicknesses of 8–15 mm (0.31–0.59"). Spigots for thicker hulls (16–24 mm / 0.63–0.94") are available separately.

Opening model sizes 10 through 32 are CE approved for hull installation above the waterline (Category A, Area 1). Each portlight is supplied complete with an insect screen (nylon mesh with molded clip-on frame), anodized aluminum inside trim, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. The insect screen can remain in position when the portlight is closed.
