The Mass GI is an isolation transformer, based on switch mode technology, providing you with separation between AC shorepower and the boat's onboard AC electrical system.

Preventing galvanic corrosion in your vessel's metal underwater gear, hull or other electrically-connected parts is critically important to prevent expensive damage. If you travel to harbors with questionable shorepower systems, or if neighboring boats may be transmitting stray current, galvanic isolation is necessary.

Key Features

  • Small, light high-frequency design: The Mass GI 7 is an extremely small and lightweight isolation transformer that includes the latest high-frequency electronics switch technology. This ensures surges and differences in electrical polarity are handled with ease.
  • Install multiple units for more capacity: Suitable for 120V and 230V AC systems, its capacity can be parallel coupled for higher capacity. Two units correspond to double its size.
  • Maintains the same voltage and frequency: Isolation transformers like the Mass GI 7 maintain the incoming line voltage and frequency. Compatible with 90 to 255V AC and 45 to 654Hz frequency.
  • Quiet and versatile: The Mass GI isolation transformer can be fitted in any position on a wall or floor. No rubber mountings are necessary because it does not vibrate or hum.
  • Integrated Soft Start: The integrated Soft Start manages the current resulting from connection to the shore. A LED indicator on the box displays load data.
  • Data link to MasterBus: Mass GI communicates via the MasterBus network for remote control and remote (alarm) monitoring of the Mass GI, for configuration (in parallel) and for communication with other system devices
