The Seaview RM848S is a transom-mounted modular radar mast pole kit engineered to provide a robust and reliable elevated mounting solution for radars, satdomes, and other marine electronics. Standing 8 feet tall and constructed from 3-inch diameter marine-grade aluminum, this pole kit is built to withstand the demanding conditions of the marine environment. The pole's multi-stage finishing process begins with Chem Film, a chemical conversion coating that forms a protective layer over the raw aluminum, followed by a 3-part epoxy prime and powder coat finish. This process ensures outstanding corrosion resistance and a long-lasting appearance in saltwater environments.

The adjustable base features hard anodized construction with a compact 5-1/4" x 3" footprint, making it suitable for installations where deck space is at a premium. A watertight cable seal is integrated into the base design, protecting wiring from moisture ingress while allowing easy disassembly for pole removal when needed. The kit includes two 48-inch strut kits fabricated from high-polished stainless steel, each with turnbuckle-style adjustability ranging from 6 to 12 inches, providing secure lateral support for the mast. Two stainless steel 3-inch pole clamps and two stainless steel 1-inch rail clamps are also included.

A fixed top plate is included with the RM848S. The top plate is constructed from 1/4-inch thick anodized aluminum, pre-drilled to accommodate most marine electronics, and encased in a UV-stable glass-filled ABS white plastic housing. Each top plate is dimpled to match provided drill templates for easy and precise drilling, resulting in only four visible mounting screws to secure electronics for a clean installation. This kit is compatible with most closed dome radars and satdomes but is not designed for use with 24-inch JRC, Lowrance, or Simrad radomes.
