If the thought of dragging a big, heavy SUP around isn't what you'd call fun...
Have we got the board for you!
Let's face it, women are different than men. When it comes to stand-up paddleboards, we're more interested in choosing a board that "fits" over looking for the biggest, heaviest board we can afford. Take Boardworks' Sirena SUP, a board that's designed to be easy to carry, easy to load and easy to paddle. By shortening it and removing a lot of the thickness, Boardworks created an SUP that's surprisingly lightweight (24 pounds soaking wet) and user-friendly. But they didn't stop there. The Sirena is stable, smooth and easy to maneuver. Whether you're looking for a board for cruising lakes or protected bays, practicing yoga in a quiet cove or spending the day riding waves, this hybrid (read versatile) SUP will get you there in style. No gaudy colors or loud graphics here—the Sirena features feminine artwork (including a mermaid silhouette), a subtle color scheme and a natural bamboo deck that will let the boys know your board is off-limits!
Similar to Boardworks' standard EPX construction, EPX-V features the addition of a high-density, kiln-dried bamboo veneer sheet for beauty and strength. Starting with a low-density, CAD-designed, stringer-less EPS core that's machine cut and hand shaped, the Sirena is then hand laminated with layers of fine epoxy resins, fiberglass cloth and a high-end kiln-dried bamboo veneer sandwich layer. All components, fin boxes, finger-wells, leash and deck plugs are set in high-density foam blocks. It's then finished off with stunning graphics and automotive grade paint and polish.
The 33" wide deck provides the stability you need for holding yoga poses, while the soft, diamond groove deck pad offers a comfortable nonslip surface for maximum grip and control with plenty of space to change positions based on your paddling style and conditions. The LiftSUP™ handle sits flush with the deck when not in use, but pops up for easy portage down to the water and provides a locking point so you can secure your board when you aren't on the water (keeping your board off-limits from those boys we were talking about earlier). A self-regulating vent plug relieves internal pressure in heat or high altitude. You'll also find forward deck plugs for attaching gear and a plug at the tail for attaching a leash (sold separately) so you and your beautiful board will stay together.
When deciding on an SUP, you'll want to choose a board with adequate volume. This can be the difference between gliding smoothly across the surface or spending your time fighting that very real sinking feeling! Proper volume is influenced by two key variables: rider weight and skill level. The sleek hull on the Sirena is designed for fast, smooth and stable recreational cruising. With a volume of 170 liters, the recommended rider weight limit is 185 pounds for beginners or novices. Experienced paddlers may find they can even exceed this recommended weight limit with a capacity up to 230 pounds!
This thinned out, short board with a wide platform makes it easy for lighter weight riders to paddle in a variety of conditions.
You'll discover the included removable center stabilizer fin and two removable side rail fins provide the Sirena with multiple fin configuration options for versatile surf performance and flat water tracking.

Comments about Boardworks 10'4" Sirena Stand-Up Paddleboard:
Beautiful board, fairly stable, light and easy to carry. Good quality traction pad. Wish it tracked as well as my kayak but tracks as good as can be expected for a 10ft SUP in strong currents. Would buy again
Service and delivery comments:
Was told the board had arrived on the phone, but when I arrived in the store to pick it up was told it had been back-ordered. Board arrived 4-5 days later. Very friendly and courteous staff in store. No other issues.
