FORTRESS ANCHORS Guardian Aluminum Anchors

An easy-to-handle alternative to heavy steel anchors, Guardians feature lightweight, corrosion-resistant, aluminum-magnesium construction and a precise 32° fluke angle. Components are not anodized and are slightly smaller than the Fortress, but just like the Fortress, the weldless design maximizes strength and they easily disassemble for compact storage or parts replacement. Made in USA.

  • Style: Pivoting aluminum fluke
  • Material: High tensile aluminum-magnesium alloy
  • Application: Sand, mud and clay
  • Pros: Disassembles for storage, extra-high holding power
  • Cons: Less effective on rocky or grassy bottoms. Light weight makes small sizes “sail” under water if boat is drifting backwards quickly
  • Warranty: One-year parts replacement

Don't judge an anchor by its weight

    About Me Advanced

    Pros

    • Easy To Use
    • Holds Boat Securely
    • Lightweight
    • Reliable
    • Well built quality

    Cons

      Best Uses

      • Main anchor
      • Spare anchor

      Comments about Guardian Aluminum Anchors:

I liked this anchor so much that I bought a second one to stow as spare and/or stern anchor. My old steel danforth anchor retired when I bought the first one. The chain weights more that the anchor, yet it grabs and holds with ease. I would not want to assemble it in a stressful situation, so I keep both assembled all the time.
