It's a great race bottom

By Aaron

from Annapolis MD

About Me Advanced

Pros

  • Easy to Use
  • Protects Well
  • Weather Proof

Cons

  • Not Durable

Best Uses

  • Outdoor

The yard sprayed and burnished the bottom the first year and I rolled and burnished the bottom the next year. It's takes 1-2 passes (dry) to burnish a race finish. The drawback is the paint needs to be applied in warm dry weather (over 55) and it needs to set for two weeks before it can be burnished. The paint is a "hard bottom" but is really soft and care needs to be taken. The diver uses a sock or terry cloth to clean the bottom and he describes it as "dolphin skin like feel". My boat is brackish water on the Chesapeake Bay and the bottom looked great at the end of the season.
