Hybrid Pro Tec BCD

When you put the back mounted Hybrid Pro Tec on, the first thing that jumps out at you is just how comfortable it is. The secret to this unsurpassed comfort in the special shoulder pads, which are longer, pre-shaped and reinforced. They also work in tandem with a lumbar suspension system that was developed to avoid direct contact between the body and the tank support, just like the design of a modern hiking backpack.

The Hybrid Pro Tec has 10 stainless steel D-rings—three of which can be adjusted along the shoulder pads, to allow for any configuration need. Made of rugged and durable 3D Alutex material, it’s lightweight, foldable and features three pull-dump/overpressure relief valves, an ergo inflator mechanism, adjustable sternum strap with quick-release buckle, cummerbund and waist strap with quick-release buckle, a nylon cylinder band with cam buckle and an LP inflator hose.

The detachable vest comprising the MRS plus system is removable giving you two jackets in one. The rubber portion of the backpack that comes in contact with the tank provides excellent gripping for optimum stability and comfort. And when folded, it's 30% shorter than a traditional backpack. The honeycomb structure makes it 40% lighter than a traditional backpack, which is ideal for travel. It comes standard with three pull-dump/overpressure relief valves—one is incorporated into the top of the ergo inflator; another is located on the right shoulder and a third is located on the rear lower right. Activation of the valves are made easy with both the upper and lower right valves coming with pull cords. The valve incorporated into the ergo inflator is accessed by an internal cable attached to the inflator mechanism.
