Good, but

Love the lenses, but lenses always end up cracking at intersection of bridge. Obvious defect in design. I have had them repaired multiple times only to have repeated problem.

Love them, but....

By Christy1970

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

I've had these for 3 years. And of course they start coming apart at the nose piece now. And I'm very careful with these. Always kept them in their case. So it's pretty disappointing that this is happening.

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

Had these all summer and fantastic glasses. Light and comfortable and both my sons thought they were great so bought 2 more for my sons Christmas presents. First pair of Mauijims and won't be the last. Planning on prescription Mauis for my wife also.

Best sunglasses I have ever owned

By OneRingRuler

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

I absolutely loved these sunglasses! I say loved, because I recently forgot them at a restaurant while vacationing with my family in LA. They are incredibly light, and so comfortable that I could wear them all day without them ever bothering me on the bridge of my nose, or behind my ear. I see some people complain about them breaking easily, but I owned mine for over 6 years before losing them! Take care of your things, and they will last a very long time. Thank you Maui Jim for the incredible product quality.

Best Glasses I've Ever Owned!

By Lilleybrat

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

I love these because they fit under a baseball hat and are so light weight I never remember I have them on. They are my daily go-to and I own many pairs of glasses. These are the best.

Terrific lense quality, light, comfy all day

By gilli

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

Had these for years, finally started to show a scratch or two; ultimately the glasses snapped into two pieces at the bridge as I tried to close arms (and I never placed these in a bag or anything!) Other than that disappointment, they are great for the price. I could wear these all day no problem, barely even adjusting them. They're hard to put on with one hand since they are flimsy, but that's a minor nuisance and trade off for the light weight.

Best sunglasses ever

By Joel

from Michigan

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

I bought the lighthouse sunglasses about a year ago and have overly happy with them. The lenses are crystal clear. They are extremely durable and light. I almost forget that I have them on. I originally tried on Oakley sunglasses and was ready to purchase them when the salesman had me try on Maui Jims. Wow, what a difference! The Oakley sunglasses felt cheap after trying on the Maui Jims. Everyone who tries on my sunglasses is impressed right away. I feel probably like everyone else, that Most sunglasses don't fit my face properly. The lighthouse was perfect. I also want to note that the warranty was a huge determining factor on purchasing these.

Good shades... but there are better options

By SunglassGuy19

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

I purchased the gloss black with neutral grey lenses about 3 months ago and overall I do enjoy theses shades. I have a fairly medium sized head and they fit great. They are super lightweight and have a good amount of flexibility to them making them great for outdoor activities. The downfall is actually in the lens, maybe it's my opinion, but the polycarbonate lens just can't compare to the glass, MauiPure, MauiBrilliant, or MauiEvolution lenses in terms of clarity. These still are a great choice if you need something lightweight and a 'sporty' pair of shades for outdoor activities.

Best glasses ever.

By Kleab

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

I never understood why people would spend more than a couple dollars on sunglasses. I never bought nice sunglasses and didn't feel the need since I didn't wear sunglasses too often (probably because I never invested in a pair worth wearing). After marrying in to a family of Maui Jim fans, my wife bought me these glasses and they completely blew me away. The sharp color contrast that the lenses give is unbelievable. These glasses are extremely lightweight and I wear them as often as I can. I refuse to go golfing without them; These glasses really make the white ball pop against the sky, making it incredibly easy to track ball flight. I've had these glasses for 3 and 1/2 years now and they're holding up great. I'm starting to see some very small cracks on the lens by the nose bridge, but I'm not concerned. They appear to be natural wear and tear and nothing that will compromise the glasses. If they eventually do break, I plan to buy replacement lenses from Maui Jim.

Love these glasses

By TN Jed

from Nashville, TN, United States

Comments about Maui Jim Lighthouse Sunglasses:

I'm glad to have found these after years of cheap, bulky sunglasses. I'd buy cheap because I knew I'd break them. And I have. These glasses are not meant to be folded up and put in a pants pocket, especially while climbing over fallen trees. My bad. So I take better care of them, and they serve me very well on trails and on the water. I spend a lot of time in the woods, and I really like the clarity of the lighter lenses in that setting. Customer service is perhaps the best I've encountered from any company.
