Comments about Mcgraw-hill Adlard Coles' Heavy Weather Sailing, Sixth Edition:

Check out the table of contents, it has information for those in monohull sailboats, multihull sailboats, RIBs, planing motorboats and displacement motor boats. It is written principally for sailors of monohull sailboats.

It does not explicitly address the needs of the small sailboat (<25'). Then again, there are only very few boats or sailors capable of making trans-oceanic passages.

I am a small boat sailor who sails inland waters. I am still glad I purchased it as it describes the logic behind each of the strategies for dealing with heavy weather, information I will be glad I know if/when I'm in a blow.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because it did not address the needs of the smaller sailboat sailor.
