Product Description

Two-part epoxy resin that does not sag, run, or shrink. With a thick formula, FlexPoxy can fill large cavities in a single application. When cured, it remains flexible, making it a good choice for keel joint repairs. FlexPoxy creates a superior bond to all epoxies, polyester resins, metals and wood and can be sanded, machined, cut, filed, planed, drilled, tapped, or nailed, making it good for filling, filleting, forming, fairing, and fastening. The low odor formula is resistant to chemicals and is safe to use above and below the waterline. FlexPoxy can be molded and shaped during application and is easily tinted with paints and stains. FlexPoxy can be overcoated by most paints.

Pros

  • 2-part epoxy comes out pre-measured
  • Easy to Use

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Sailboat keel joint sealant

Comments about Pettit Paints FlexPoxy Epoxy Repair Compound:

I bought FlexPoxy to hopefully prevent having to repair the keel joint each year which happens when using rigid sealants. I have not had the boat in the water yet so the final report will have to wait until October when we pull the boat in for the winter again.

Comments about Pettit Paints FlexPoxy Epoxy Repair Compound:

this epoxy is great, it's 2 part in the same tube so you always have the right measurement, the pot life time makes it easy to work with, no rushing around. When it cures you can sand it, drill holes in it, put screws in it, paint it....just about anything. The only bad thing is actually not the product, the instructions on the cartridge are pretty useless, if I was a beginner it might put me off from buy what is really a great easy to use product, However a quick look online and Pettit gives much better instructions.

Comments about Pettit Paints FlexPoxy Epoxy Repair Compound:

Works great! It has a thick body but smooths well. Have used it in thick and fairing locations. Great to build filits and can be tinted, with stain or paint and finishes well. Keeps wood and other flexing parts together. Use it in my wood boat and home.
