Comments about Iris 50 Hand Bearing Compass:

I bought the Iris 50 compass for small boat use, canoeing, and wilderness camping. After a year it developed an air bubble that grew in size. The compass was always stored carefully and never exposed to high altitudes or excessive hot/cold temperatures, but the bubble formed anyway. Plastimo was of no help and refused to replace or repair the compass as it was out of warranty

Comments about Iris 50 Hand Bearing Compass:

I use this compass on my sea kayak and fishing boat, and also find it great for hiking.
It is easy to use, and the 1 degree graduations yield better accuracy.
One shot with a flashlight, and it is good for a while, Just close your eyes when you flash it, and your night vision is safe.
