Comments about i40 Bidata with Two Thru hull Transducers:
At no point was the speed sensor specifications available before opening the package (not on the website, not in the brochure). The sensor included in the package is the ST300 (short stem). According to the specs this can be used up to a hull thickness of 1". This unfortunately is not true. It will work up to a max of 3/4". If you buy the i40 and have a hull thicker than 3/4", buy the instrument separate and get the standard ST800 transducer. For detailed info on those transducers go to the manufacturer's (Airmar) website.
The sensor manufacture & type has to be added to the description and it needs to be correct. Staff at the stores should be educated so they can advise clients on this.
