Comments about Clear Start Sailing Watch:

Bought this from the store, and while it looks good and has relatively good functionality for sailing and general use, it does not seem very durable, especially given that ist is a sport watch. The crystal scratches WAY too easily and the buttons fall off. I had the watch replaced (warranty, thanks, Ronstan) for a missing button, but the new watch only lasted about two weeks before the face was scratched and another button fell off.

Comments about Clear Start Sailing Watch:

I am left handed. I wore the watch on my right hand. The set button is in the middle so I would regularly bend my wrist and reset the watch. After a year the whole thing stopped working. Not a good watch.
Just try and figure out how to set the time on this thing - you need a microscope to read the instructions.

Comments about Clear Start Sailing Watch:

Break out your magnifying glass as the directions use a font so small they are a little hard to read.

I was really hoping watch came with a pre-set dinghy start time of 3 minutes, it does not. Still trying to see if I can customize it for something so basic. It's a Ronstan for god sakes this is should been an obvious feature what were they thinking. Even the Ollie box comes with a 3 minute start sequence for just this purpose.

I am also curious what makes a watch designer put the watch illumination light buttun between 2 other buttons making it very easy to press one of the other buttons in the dark often re-setting the watch to display something other than the time.

I am undecided if I would recommend this watch to a friend.
