Comments about Shakespeare Galaxy 4' AM/FM Antenna:

I recently upgraded my VHF antenna with the 8' WM 8900 (Shakespeare 5225)and keeping with that style I decided to use the Galaxy 4' AM/FM too. I already had an existing fold down mount on my hardtop after removing the Loran antenna so installing the Galaxy was a snap.

What impressed me most - besides the quality, which is top notch will the Galaxy line of Shakespeare products - was the improvement with reception of some of the more difficult FM stations to receive in my area. I used to have to manually tune several stations because they were so weak the auto-seek feature on my old JVC wouldn't lock in using an old 2' automotive type whip the previous owner installed on the boat.

Now it'll scan and lock-in on those same hard to receive stations no problem! Yes, a C-note for an AM/FM antenna might be considered a little high, but you get what you pay for.

As usual, West Marine had the antenna shipped directly to my home in just a couple of days.

      Service and delivery comments:

      Received it in two days.
