Comments about Floating Binocular Straps:

I found the strap to be comfortable. I bought it to be able to find my binocs if they went overboard. The binocs are a bit heavy so one would need a bulky strap to keep them afloat. I have no complaints though I didn't test my binocs out. Maybe I should while they are under warranty.

    Comments about Floating Binocular Straps:

I was going on a cruise to Alaska and was planning to do some kayaking. I needed a new pair of Binoculars. I got these because they were rugged and water proof. I also got a pair of the West Marine's $70 binoculars. These were superior. I found them easy to focus and they stayed in focus. I don't think the image was that much better, but I wanted something that was rugged and could survive anything. These did the trick. And they survived the baggage stresses of the airlines and the cruise ship. They were my preferred binocular and beat anything anyone else had 8-)

And I got them on sale!!!

    A win / win

        Comments about Floating Binocular Straps:

These are not "comfortable' in the purist sense. But bright orange is visible (since the Blue of the binoculars is not) and it does make recovery a lot easier.
I know. My Daughter "oopsed" my Navigator II into the Bay and then I had to re trace the course to find them. The Orange worked well and she was VERY relieved.

At 14 she was not always too co-ordinated.
