          Comments about Trailer Glyde Slicks:

Product was advertised by boat length so I dutifully bought the 16' set. Only when I received the product and read the instructions did I discover that, if your boat weighs more than 600 pounds, you need TWO sets. That effectively doubles the price and the installation time. It looks like it might work, but I won't know until I take my boat out at the end of the summer. In the meantime, BUY BY WEIGHT!

            Comments about Trailer Glyde Slicks:

I'm 70 years old and launching a 26 foot motor sailor can be a challenge. I used to have to have the entire boat in the water for launching, and this often meant standing in 2 feet of water. With this product I only have to float 2/3 of the boat, keeping me dry. The same is true when retrieving the boat. Now it easily cranks onto a trailer that is only half submerged, keeping me dry. I should have had this 20 years ago.

              Comments about Trailer Glyde Slicks:

After easy installation of the Slicks, it was time to put the boat back on the trailer. The boat (16') took very little effort to drive up on. The Slicks were so slick that I had to keep the motor running in forward to attach the winch hook due to the boat sliding back into the water. Not a very safe thing to do. Warning: If boat is not secured with at least the winch hook in place, there is a good possibility the boat will slide off the trailer while backing down the ramp. Advice: Count the hardware screws that comes with the Slicks. You should have a screw for every drilled hole in the Slicks. I use a hacksaw to cut the excess length off. It did a good job.

These are a must for loading and unloading PWC from the beach when the trailer cannot be submersed and is completely out of the water.
