Only had these for a few days now but so far I'm very impressed with them. The footbed has a nice texture that prevents them from feeling sticky if your feet get a little damp. Performed very well for a weekend in the mountains. Very stable even for off-trail hiking. As others have noted, they do sometimes pick up small rocks and you have to stop to remove them. Sometimes the heel rubs a little and caused some hot spots. No blisters though, as of yet. I'm hoping the soles don't come apart like so many people have reported. I'll post an update if that happens.

One note on sizing: I used the sizing chart and ordered a 7 which was sized at exactly the same measurement as my foot and they fit perfectly with no slip. These seem to be designed to fit like a glove, so I think ordering a half size up would actually be detrimental to comfort.

wish these shoes would have lasted longer than 3 months and that isn't all day long or even everyday for that matter. :(

Comments about Teva Men's Omnium Sandals, Ombre Blue, 8.5:

Left was a bit narrow the first day. Only shoes I took on vacation. Met every need--kayaking, hiking, restaurant dinner. Also meet podiatrist's support concerns for plantar fasciitis.

I shifted from teva open sandals to these for greater versatility.

Lots of plastic clips, loops, velcro--may have durability issues in the long haul, but solid so far.

My husband bought a pair of these a couple years ago. They were so comfortable that he wore them non-stop in the warm weather months. When it was time for a new pair, he requested the exact same pair.

I got these for my husband who wanted shoes that he can wear without worrying about them retaining water or being too sloppy on his feet for good traction. These stay on his feet without slippage, allow good drainage, do not stink after they're worn in wet conditions, provide great traction and are very comfortable and supportive. Because the toe and heel are enclosed, they protect his feet from debris and rocks.

Comments about Teva Men's Omnium Sandals, Ombre Blue, 8.5:

I got my first pair (Bungee Cord) several years ago because I wanted more protection for my toes when wading and kayaking. Noticed that my plantar fascia problems were not as bad with these sandals. Decided to start wearing them to work and fell in love with them. I've bought the Ombre Blue next, went back to Bungee Cord and now wear the Leather version. Yes I had a problem with the soles peeling off, but shoe goo stuck them back on and I kept on going.
I have recommended them to others with flat feet and plantar fascia problems. I recommend wearing them a few hours at a time until your feet get stronger and then increasing the amount of time you wear them until you're comfortable wearing them all day long. Remember to stretch and ice after wearing them initially if you have plantar fascia problems. Once you're used to them you will wear these over special shoes that have arch supports and heel cups and over-pronation protection. My dress boots don't give me as much problem now because of wearing these sandals and strengthening my feet.
I pretty much wear these year round, except when it gets cold and then I just wear them inside as slippers. I still have the worn out ones, I just use them as slippers and mud shoes. Even though the soles have worn out, the uppers are still in great shape.
I do wish they had stiffer mid-shafts so that it supported my feet more when walking on rocks and long days of standing/walking at work. Maybe if I lost a few pounds that would help me as well...
I am looking forward to getting the Turkish Coffee version soon. The soles on the Leather version are starting to get holes in the rubber soles and are a little more slippery on wet rocks/cement. These have lasted me around 3 years and get daily use. I don't even wear tennis shoes any more since these are up for any workouts/long walks.
During the summer I put gold bond foot powder inside them each morning. I've noticed that if I have stinky feet, then I'll start having stinky shoes. The foot powder helps absorb the extra sweat and keeps bacteria from growing. If I get the sandals wet, I put them in front of a fan or by the return air vent for my A/C unit and they're dry the next morning. The Leather version has more problems with wet and odor, but if you dry them and put powder in there every morning, that takes care of the problem. Take care of your equipment and it'll take care of you!
If you aren't convinced by now to buy a pair, then you don't deserve to wear these great shoes!
