          Cables fail with age

            Cons

            Best Uses

Comments about Vinyl Coated Trailer Hitch Cables:

With years of use these will eventually rust and fail where the vinyl cover meets the exposed twisted cable. This is especially true in a saltwater environment, as the saltwater wets the twisted cable and you cannot rinse it out from beneath the vinyl. I went to hitch up after it sat for a few months and they broke off in my hand. Much too risky of a product for me to continue using. I'm switching back to stainless chains.
