The lightest, most powerful and most efficient electric outboards available, the Torqeedo Cruise 2.0 is the leading electric solution for pontoon boats, sailboats, small boats, commercial operations and users on lakes that limit the use of combustion motors.
Due to the use of a highly efficient rare earth magnet torque motor, electronics and gear package, Torqeedo Cruise models deliver up to twice the range from the same battery supply compared to other popular electric motors with high-tech features such as GPS-based range calculation, up-to-the-minute accurate battery status and speed calculations and its ability to work with cool accessories like Torqeedo’s smartphone app, TorqTrac.
Solid aluminum lower unit provides improved protection from impact damage, corrosion, fishing lines and debris. The Cruise 2.0 model delivers the propulsive power of a 5hp and the thrust of a 6hp combustion outboard. Tiller model; long shaft

Comments about Torqeedo Cruise 2.0T Outboard Engine, Long Shaft:
I debated giving this a 4 or 5, because my first one developed an issue in the first 3 months. But the company replaced it easily and quickly and I have not had a problem since (about 15 months now). So I give them credit for a great service experience. It drives my 6,500 lb Herreshoff "S" class sailboat quite well. Full power I make 4.5 knots plus a little, for about 2 hrs. At 3 knots the range is between 6 to 8 hours on the Power 26-104 battery, which surprised me and everyone who asks about it. Amazing range for 50 lbs of battery. Range is non-linear. If you are willing to take a little longer, you can go far. I found the digital display on speed and estimated range to be very accurate. My longest run so far has been perhaps 3-4 hours at 3.5 kts. I would suggest using an electrical contact cleaner and hitting the contacts a couple of times a season. I had some corrosion during the first season (salt water). I used 'Ideal' brand about 4 times during the next season and have had no issues at all. I hit the battery connectors and the data connectors.
