Model # 11835584 | Mfg # 1212

This item is no longer available.

The lightest, most powerful and most efficient electric outboards available, the Torqeedo Cruise 4.0 is the leading electric solution for pontoon boats, sailboats, small boats, commercial operations and users on lakes that limit the use of combustion motors.

Due to the use of a highly efficient rare earth magnet torque motor, electronics and gear package, Torqeedo Cruise models deliver up to twice the range from the same battery supply compared to other popular electric motors with high-tech features such as GPS-based range calculation, up-to-the-minute accurate battery status and speed calculations and its ability to work with cool accessories like Torqeedo’s smartphone app, TorqTrac.

Solid aluminum lower unit provides improved protection from impact damage, corrosion, fishing lines and debris. The Cruise 4.0R model delivers the propulsive power of an 8hp and the thrust of a 9.9hp combustion outboard. Short shaft.

Torqeedo Cruise 4.0R for 22 foot pontoon boat

By Todd Petersen

from Ohio inland lake

Comments about Torqeedo Cruise 4.0R Electric Outboard, Long Shaft, Remote Steering:

I researched electric motors for quite awhile. I ended up with the Torqeedo. I don't think West sells a ton of them, but they were able to help me through the order and are really, really good about customer service and follow up. Truly, I don't say that often. . . they were great about enthusiastically helping me.

I have only had the Torqeedo for a few weeks now, but I love it. You'll never water ski with an electric, but it really pushes the boat around the lake very well. The power is smooth and the electronic readout on the remote throttle is helpful, although I have to admit I am still working on calibrating the readout so that I don't run short on charge.

Comments about Torqeedo Cruise 4.0R Electric Outboard, Long Shaft, Remote Steering:

I do not recommend that you ever buy. We used it one week and it hit a small stick and water entered its cheap housing. Because of this Torqeedo says they will not pay to have it fixed which would cost $2101.29. Entire investment is a pure WASTE! BTW when we first called they said they would fix it so we spent almost $200 mailing it in to get it fixed. More money down the drain!
