This product works exactly as advertised. I've used other resins and this performs as expected. In various temps and humidity levels, I've found that using 7-10 mL of hardener per pint of resin givens me about 10 minutes of working time and hardens quickly and evenly. I would recommend erring on the side of using slightly larger batches as it's easier to get the mixture correct.

I'm using this for bedding stringers, bulkheads, deck and transom repair.

This is my first time using the resin and it dried tacky; does this mean next time I should use more or less hardener?

          Comments about Polyester Boaters Resin:

Used product with fiberglass mat recommended by the local West Marine store. Followed instructions exactly. Temp was 70 air and part fiberglassing. Went on perfectly, scrapped the air bubbles wrinkles out as it said and left it to dry. It has been 24 hours and it's still tacky. Also, the hardner bottle was not filled to the 11cc make as the can says, it was unopened.

                  Comments about Polyester Boaters Resin:

The resin worked very well, as long as you have all of the prep work set up when you are ready to mix and apply. Depending upon the weather/temp it would apply smoothly unless you took too long and it started to harden. Pre-cut the fiberglass and individual mixing cups worked out well. Since this was my first time, I was very inpressed with the results. Would use this product again for other repairs.

                      Comments about Polyester Boaters Resin:

Ruined my project with this stuff. Dont follow the mixing direction on the can, you have to use your own judgement. My resin cured within 5 minutes after adding hardener. After waisting half of a gallon and whole bunch of cussing, i decided to use the directions of my generic BONDO brand resin, which was 10 drops per ounce(4 ounces at a time). After that everything went smooth. So if you buying this product ,beware ,you will have many problems at first untill you figure it out.
