        Comments about Manual Oil Changer:

I used a hand pump to change oil. It always leaked around the base of the pump and was messy. I bought this and after 10 minutes of figuring out how to set it up, it worked perfectly, clean, and compact. I was actually fun watching the oil get sucked into the body. My engine holds 4 qts. so I marked the tube when it reached the 4 quart mark so I'll have that as a reference.

The only "complaint" is I needed to find a place for the residual oil to drip from the suction lines. No big deal. I liked the post from the fellow who hung up & drained the lines into an old bottle. I'll do that next time.

You'll love this product, but buy it when it's on sale and save some bucks.

This pump makes it so simple to change the oil in my Seadoo GTX Jet Ski. I will still visit my dealer for accessories, but for service , I just eliminated my need for that now. It pretty much worked at pulling out 3 liters of oil, while I went to answer the phone. It was easy, very neat , no mess . Buy this. I can't imagine anything working better. Steve

            Comments about Manual Oil Changer:

I was skeptical about this product. I had an electric one donated to the cause that was a complete disaster.

I opened the box in the store to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. Took it to the boat, warmed up the engine and had the crankcase empty in minutes.

The only thing I would add is some way to drain and store the suction tube after use. Otherwise if you own a boat and do your own oil changes, you need one of these!

Now if only the engine manufacturers would put the filter in a convenient spot.

              Comments about Manual Oil Changer:

I use this to change the oil in my Honda 135hp outboard, which stays on the water. Commercial crabbing and fishing puts hours on the outboard quick, so I needed something to help drain the oil without having to take up the boat every 100 hours. This is the ticket. Solid, durable, comes with all the fittings, and works great. Another Great Product from West Marine ... and arrived in 3 days.

                  Comments about Manual Oil Changer:

I am not one to write reviews but I had to on this product. I have equipment that I use and maintain myself and dread changing the oil just because of where the drain plug is and that when you drain it there is no way to prevent the oil from spilling and getting all over everything. I was impressed by using it the first time, warmed up the equipment and put the appropriate tube in and gave it a few pumps about 8 to 10 and out came the oil. When it did stop I gave the unit a few more pumps and moved the tube around a little and got some more oil out. But I am not one to trust everyone and thing, so I crawled under the equipment and opened the drain plug and got out about 3 to 4 oz of oil. I feel that is an acceptable amount when removing about 2 gallons of oil. That will be the last time I crawl under that equipment. Wish I purchased one of these a long time ago. Some people complained about the tubes dripping oil, what I did was to take an old laundry detergent bottle an put a funnel in the opening and put some clips on the wall and let the tubes drain into the container. Also use it to drain the oil filters. Hope this helps everyone

Quick and easy. Warm up engine, remove the oil fill cap on the engine to vent, connect the hose to the oil extraction tube, pump, and then let it vacuum out the oil. I have the 6.9 quart, and use it twice to remove 11 quarts of oil. Done in 20 minutes.
