Comments about Portable LED Navigation Light, Stern, Suction Cup Mount:

I bought this light for my rowing shell and needed something that I could take on and off when necessary. I've had it one season (about 40 rows) and the suction cup has come off and I've had to replace the four batteries it takes twice (that equates to roughly 50 hours total use). It stuck to the boat just fine until last month when the suction cup began deciding on its own when it wanted to disengage. It was fortunate that it did this when I was close enough to the dock to retrieve it (it floats). I suppose it was a warning that the suction cup was about to fall off completely. Looking for a replacement - already. Pricey mistake.

Comments about Portable LED Navigation Light, Stern, Suction Cup Mount:

This light is WAY over priced.
It is water tight and it does float.
After knocking it overboard I had to unanchor and chase it (it cost 50 bucks) It stayed afloat and upright so no problems retreiving it and I just stuck it back where it belonged. I dont want to buy it again but I would. Andy

Comments about Portable LED Navigation Light, Stern, Suction Cup Mount:

I'm generally a big fan of West Marine but their "price match" approach with items like this, including the two-color bow light, is an empty promise. After once carrying this light under its original brand, they have simply rebranded it "West Marine" and therefore refuse to match its price elsewhere when the exact item is widely available under the name of the original manufacturer. I'm only loyal up to a point. Charge a 25 percent premium and I'm going elsewhere.
