My horns quit working after the first season. The only thing they are good for is looks. After reading many other same reviews, why does West Marine still continue to sell these junk horns. I only wish that I had read other reviews before I wasted my money on these horns. For a product that has minimal use during a 6 month season, they should last longer than one season. A WASTE OF MONEY!

Great purchase. The only issue was that the provided forward support for the bell end of the horn was too short to mount to a flat surface. I had to use a spacer under the support.

Comments about West Marine Stainless Steel Single 12V Horn:

The gleaming looks on the outside, have nothing to do with the performance of these horns, after two years the horn quit working, I took it apart and everything on the inside was all rusted up, this is a second set I purchased, before I didn't took it apart, I was thinking I had a problem with bad wires.. but the interior is build with poor quality materials.

Comments about West Marine Stainless Steel Single 12V Horn:

I am very disappointed this horn only worked for less than a year. Wish I had the receipt to take it back. For the price I think this horn should last 5-6 years. It is a simple design that should work reliably for a long time...but it didn't. Wish I had read reviews before I bought this horn. Won't buy another unless the price is about $15.

Comments about West Marine Stainless Steel Single 12V Horn:

Lasted less than two summer boating seasons on a freshwater lake. Horn went completely dead, still had 12v at connections. Poor internal design. Won't buy another one.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. I bought this horn in 2009 and it was deader than a door nail prior to the 2012 season! It is getting 12 Vdc at the leads, so it's not a switch or circuit breaker problem, no sound. I am going to try and make it work this spring however I suspect that I will be buying a new horn. This time it will have a 5 year warranty and it won't be purchased from West Marine!
