Product Description

With an advanced fiberglass hull shape, this Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) is quick to plane and handle with ease. The V-section slices through chop for a dry, comfortable ride. Tthe 350 model has an ultra-strong double floor. Roomy interiors afford plenty of cargo space and lightweight construction tops the performance of larger, heavier RIBs.

Built-in davit padeyes come factory installed-a feature that normally costs extra. PVC RIBs, which are manufactured from premium German Heytex fabric, are best for the cost-conscious boater who can store the boat out of the elements. The 350 has four lifting points. Boats include seat, pump, pressure gauge, oars and repair kit.

Great RIB

Comments about West Marine RIB-350 Double Floor PVC Inflatable Boat—Gray:

I have only used the 350 3 times and have found no issues with. It performs well in choppy water and with only a 9.9hp it still fly's through the water because of the rigid hull. it i big enough for 4 people and some gear but still can be transported in the back of our pickup (a little awkward because of length and beam but manageable for short distances as we do not want a trailer. the perfect step up form a 10' to a larger boat we need to trailer. My only issue is I did not receive the pressure gauge and have yet to speak with someone to get it for me. Overall very satisfied with this rib.

        Service and delivery comments:

My interaction with west marine employees is usually met with very happy excited people. Unfortunately after 3 attempts of speaking with a customer service agent everyone has failed to deliver on their promise to get me a pressure gauge that is supposed to be included. I was told each time by the rep they would personally take care of the issue and followup with me but after one month and 3 calls no one has followed through. This makes me very disappointed and leaves me to have little faith that if I did have a more serious issue I would be let down by west marine staff.

Comments about West Marine RIB-350 Double Floor PVC Inflatable Boat—Gray:

While searching for a dinghy for my yacht, I came across the WM RIB 350. While I cannot directly compare it with the others, I could not pass this up when WM had it on sale. I can honestly say that I have absolutely no regrets. I wanted a tender with steering, so I rigged it up with Todd bench seats, steering console and a Suzuki 20 HP remote model. Everything worked out perfectly and the seats and console fit like a glove.

I have used it several times now and it performs very well. With a single person, it flies at close to 25 mph. Even loaded with 4, it still planes easily and runs at 21+. I've also had it in large open water with light chop and it rides at full cruise and stays dry. Overall, I am very happy with it's performance.

I obviously cannot rate the long term dependability, but initial quality seems good. There are no leaks and no unsecured pieces. The only non positive obversation I have is that it seems the transom freeboard is a bit low for a RIB that's rated to handle up to a 25HP outboard. I mounted a Suzuki 20 that only weighs 106 lbs and the water line seems high. I would not want to mount a modern 4-stroke 25HP that are weighing an additional 60 plus lbs. I think that would be a bit much for this transom.

In comparison to other brands, I came in considerable cheaper with the WM RIB 350 and did the rigging myself. Purchasing a fully rigged RIB in this size from one of the other brands would have cost many thousands more. This is a good choice.
