Barry Kelley

A 31-year West Marine veteran, Barry has spent more than half his life working for the company. It’s one of the things he’s most proud of in life, second only to his family. A barbeque connoisseur, Barry has been known to host many company gatherings at his home and no one leaves the Kelley house without enjoying some good laughs and a full stomach!

Barry joined West Marine in 1989 as an assistant manager and quickly took advantage of West Marine’s growth. After opening more than 100 stores in the southeast, he moved west to join the Port Supply team (now West Marine Pro). Barry was promoted to his current role as senior vice president of stores & pro.

Known for his quick wit and retail expertise, Barry builds strong teams that deliver outstanding customer service, live the company’s mission, and have fun while helping boaters get out on the water.

A lifelong boater himself, Barry equally enjoys a good day sailing or one spent offshore fishing. He currently enjoys life on the central California coast with his wife Penny and their three children.
