An AC panel that safely manages power from three sources
Blue Sea Systems traditional metal breaker panels have been installed in boats for years. They have become the standard for innovation, quality, reliability and design. Offered in numerous configurations and compatible with a wide variety of breaker ratings and styles these panels are an easy choice for most electrical systems. Through the expertise and boating experience of Blue Sea Systems engineers each breaker panel is designed to meet common electrical system needs.
Anytime two or more AC sources are present onboard, it is critical they remain separated. AC Power from a genset, inverter, or shore power source, when combined with another AC source creates a very dangerous situation. Blue Sea Systems designed this panel simplify switching from three AC power sources with the ability to dedicate a specific power source to a group of circuits. Two A-Series 30A double pole main breakers are pre-installed and include a sliding lockout to prevent both switches from being in the ON position and ensure that only one source can be switched ON at one time. A single A-Series 50A double pole main breaker and a single A-Series 30A double pole transfer breaker also share a sliding lockout. All breakers combine switching and circuit protection and are trip-free and cannot be held in the ON position when a fault is detected. Hot, neutral, and safety ground bus bars are pre-installed. Red LEDs reverse polarity indicator lights warn if polarity is switched. Green LEDs at all positions indicates switch is ON. Large format labels are backlit for visibility in low or no light conditions. Included are 30 commonly used AC labels.
