ATTWOOD–Fuel Vent Line Surge Protector
Fuel Vent Line Surge Protector
Prevent fuel spills at the pump.
Federal laws prompt filling station attendants and harbormasters to call the Coast Guard on boat owners who pollute. Yet even conscientious boaters sometimes splash fuel out their vent line. A vent line surge protector gives boaters a warning before a spill happens.
Attwood inline surge protectors install along the tank’s vent line and warn boaters as the tank approaches maximum capacity and help automatic shut-off nozzles to stop fuel flow before a spill. For non-automatic shut-off nozzles, an audible gurgling sound is omitted from the vent fitting to alert boaters the tank is almost filled. The compact polypropylene body is compatible with ethanol blended fuels and installs along the vent line with included hose clamps and doesn’t need to be mounted to the hull. To prevent unwanted fuel spills and the consequences associated with them, install a vent line surge protector.
