Figure out where the fish are and this kayak will get you there!
A little easier to store and a little easier to transport, Perception's Pescador Pro 10.0 Sit-On-Top Angler Kayak gives you all the fish-ready features of the Pescador Pro 12.0 in a more compact size. With only a slightly reduced load capacity (325 pounds including you and your gear), you'll still be able to bring everything you need to the fishing party. Whether you're new to paddling or a seasoned veteran, this kayak is all about serious fishing and having serious fun doing it. You'll find the 10'6" length and 32" width makes for great maneuverability, tracking and stability.
If you are new to fishing from a kayak, why choose a sit-on-top over a sit-inside kayak? Options! It's easier to add accessories. You'll have a better view of the water (and potential obstacles) around you and it's also easier to get out and back in if you feel the need to wade. Some fishermen even like the ability to hang a leg over the side when dealing with a large fish. Since you'll be more open to the elements, expect to get wet. If the water's warm, wear clothing that dries quickly and protects you from the sun's damaging rays. If the water or air is cold, you'll want to wear gear that also provides extra warmth. Neoprene shoes or boots (sold separately) feel really good instead of cold, wet feet after a day out in the elements.
Perception's custom, high-grade polyethylene plastic and distinct rotational molding process provides exceptional strength and durability. With its seamless, one-piece construction, the Pescador Pro 10.0 is highly UV-, abrasion- and impact-resistant for years of trouble-free performance. The thickness is varied throughout the hull for extra strength when needed, but without the additional weight. These kayaks are actually easily repaired, recyclable and manufactured with less waste than conventional roto-molding. A skid plate has even been added for extra durability.
The removable, stadium-style pro seat adjusts on the fly to upright or reclined angles and offers two positions for paddling. Use the lower position for paddling efficiency with its lower center of gravity and the upper position for seated fishing and a better view. The Keepers Foot Brace System adjusts easily, latches securely and features a molded construction so it won't rust. You'll also find comfort carry handles at the bow and stern for carrying your kayak down to the launch site or portaging around gnarly whitewater sections.
The Pescador Pro 10.0 is outfitted with lots of features to make it simple to gear up for epic fishing trips. You'll find two flush-mounted rod holders behind the seat that can be used with any standard fishing rods, gaffs or landing nets. There's a convenient paddle park next to the seat to securely hold your paddle to free up your hands for fishing tasks. Recessed YakAttack GearTracs are located on both sides and feature a T-slot to allow you to easily add accessories and then move them around or remove them as your needs change. The center console is ready for your fish finder (sold separately), and there's even a scupper hole nearby to install your thru-hull transducer.
The bow tankwell features a handy, removable mesh cover. Accessory pad eyes provide options for attaching a variety of items where they'll be easy to reach. Behind the seat there's a 5"dia. deck plate that gives access inside the hull. The recessed stern storage well with bungee tiedown and scupper holes is the perfect spot for your tacklebox, bait tank or cooler (all sold separately). And of course there's a molded-in cup holder. You wouldn't want to spill that celebratory beverage now would you?
If you don't already own them, you'll want to order a kayak paddle and a life jacket (both sold separately) so you'll be ready to get out there and catch your limit right away!
