Harken Unit 1 Forked Tack Swivel Terminal
The Unit 1 Forked Tack Swivel Terminal is a quick-release modular component for the Harken Reflex Furling System, designed to work with Unit 1 furling units rated at a maximum working load (MWL) of 1.5T for boats up to 36 feet (11 meters). This tack swivel terminal is permanently attached to the sail and provides a secure attachment point at the tack.
The design features a low-friction ball bearing swivel that allows the upper part of the sail to furl first, enabling smooth and even roll-up during furling operations. When it is time to change sails, simply pull the spring-loaded pin and the tack swivel slides out of the drive unit and goes into the sailbag, while the drive unit remains with the boat.
