Something's fishy here...Like everything about this kayak!
Perception's Pescador Pro 12.0 Sit-On-Top Angler Kayak is designed for real fishing enthusiasts. Do you lose track of time watching bass fishing shows on TV? Does your idea of fun include spending hours upon hours sitting in the local bait shop swapping fish stories? Do you remember the exact day you caught your first king mackeral, but have trouble remembering your anniversary? Then yes, you're a hopeless fish-aholic. So just think what your buddies will say when you paddle up in this fishing machine. It's pre-rigged so it's ready to hold all your fishing gear. And with a load capacity of 375 pounds—we mean all! At a generous 12 feet long and built for the tracking and stability experienced anglers expect from their kayak, the Pescador Pro 12.0 is the perfect size for moving quickly across the lake to your secret spot. And if this is your first kayak, you'll find the learning curve to be quite short.
If you are new to fishing from a kayak, why choose a sit-on-top over a sit-inside kayak? Options! It's easier to add accessories. You'll have a better view of the water (and potential obstacles) around you and it's also easier to get out and back in if you feel the need to wade. Some fishermen even like the ability to hang a leg over the side when dealing with a large fish. Since you'll be more open to the elements, expect to get wet. If the water's warm, wear clothing that dries quickly and protects you from the sun's damaging rays. If the water or air is cold, you'll want to wear gear that also provides extra warmth. Neoprene shoes or boots (sold separately) feel really good instead of cold, wet feet after a day out in the elements.
Perception's custom, high-grade polyethylene plastic and distinct rotational molding process provides exceptional strength and durability. With its seamless, one-piece construction, the Pescador Pro 12.0 is highly UV-, abrasion- and impact-resistant for years of trouble-free performance. The thickness is varied throughout the hull for extra strength when needed, but without the additional weight. These kayaks are actually easily repaired, recyclable and manufactured with less waste than conventional roto-molding. A skid plate has even been added for extra durability.
The removable, stadium-style pro seat adjusts on the fly to upright or reclined angles and offers two positions for paddling. Use the lower position for paddling efficiency with its lower center of gravity and the upper position for seated fishing and a better view. The Keepers Foot Brace System adjusts easily, latches securely and features a molded construction so it won't rust. You'll also find comfort carry handles at the bow and stern for carrying your kayak down to the launch site or portaging around gnarly whitewater sections.
The Pescador Pro 12.0 is outfitted with lots of features to make it simple to gear up for epic fishing trips. You'll find two flush-mounted rod holders behind the seat that can be used with any standard fishing rods, gaffs or landing nets. There's a convenient paddle park next to the seat to securely hold your paddle to free up your hands for fishing tasks. Recessed YakAttack GearTracs are located on both sides and feature a T-slot to allow you to easily add accessories and then move them around or remove them as your needs change. The center console is ready for your fish finder (sold separately), and there's even a scupper hole nearby to install your thru-hull transducer.
The bow tankwell features a handy, removable mesh cover. Accessory pad eyes provide options for attaching a variety of items where they'll be easy to reach. Behind the seat there's a 5"dia. deck plate that gives access inside the hull. The recessed stern storage well with bungee tiedown and scupper holes is the perfect spot for your tacklebox, bait tank or cooler (all sold separately). And of course there's a molded-in cup holder. You wouldn't want to spill that celebratory beverage now would you?
If you don't already own them, you'll want to order a kayak paddle and a life jacket (both sold separately) so you'll be ready to get out there and catch your limit right away!
