I've owned 3 HDS gen2 and gen3 and loved them. The Live has been a pain. After three months the sonar still doesn't work. Tech support is absolutely non existent.

Maps have NO water depths when you go to charts, only blue indicating water! Why not have NOAA charts? Manual not very helpful for setting items up - limited details.

3rd unit being sent back to Lowrance. Screen went out again. Nice unit when they work but reliability has gotten really bad. I've bought a dozen lowrance units and over the last 3-4 years nothing but problems. I'd take a serious look at garmin or hummingbird if you are wanting reliability or if don't replace your graphs every couple years.
